Hey guys i have a 2008 Nissan 350z with 25k miles and the "service engine soon light" came on today, the manual says if it stays on steady it is an emission problem, well it stays solid.

Any ideas of what it could be and if it is covered under warranty?

Take your Z to local auto store and get a scan to see what the code is. Or take it to your dealership to get it scanned if your Z still under warranty. If not, then the dealership might charge you. It might be just a service reminder thing.

So you know, there is a federally mandated 8yr/80K mile warranty on OEM catalytic converters. If that's what it is you're completely covered. You could just take your car down to a local AutoZone, O Reilly's auto parts and have them run the code if you don't own a code checker (something I tell everyone to purchase since they are so cheap). The ones near me offer to run codes at no charge.

Good luck!
