3.3 V-6 I just had a leaking [coolant] intake manifold gskt replaced. Now the SES light is on. The shop is telling me that they pulled two codes: knock sensor and idle air control. They reset the light, but it came right back on. The service adviser is telling me that they did something to the idle air control so that is not a problem. He attributes the SES light coming on the the knock sensor. I have called two dealers who both assured me that the knock sensor would set a code, but would not cause the light to come on. Any opinions out there? Also, is there something simple the tech could have done to cause this problem, like leaving a ground wire loose or not connecting wires, etc?

What truck do you have? There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum here just for knock sensors on 3.3's.
