I don't see the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor on the air intake duct, unless it is hidden underneath the new assembly. The MAF is a critical sensor monitored by the ECM. It is normally mounted close to the air filter box which you have replaced. Are you a local or an expat working in KSA?

try taking it to autozone and they will scan it for free.then you might know the reason for the light

my max is imported from USA . and the dealers does not repair any imported cars .not nissan only . all the dealer most of them does not .

BTW the MAF is in it's place. dairictly after the orginal black pipe and the blue elbo.

First, we have to know what diagnostic code you are getting so we can isolate the problem. Please download a copy of the FSM (Factory Service Manual). It will help you a lot working with your car.

To extract the diagnostic code, here is the link to Maxima/I30/I35 FAQ. You can get a lot of useful info from that site.

I was in Jeddah, KSA from 1986 to 1991, working with SAUDIA Avionics Training Department. Lots of luxurious and fast cars in that area.

It's awfully dirty in your engine compartment. Could you have gotten some dirt in the MAF while performing the install?

Honestly, I'd put the original intake back on. The one you just installed was designed badly... that sharp bend right after the filter will only cause you to lose power.

As for the code... we have to know what code it is to really help you.

I know with the 4th gen computers you can get the code by loosing and tightening a screw on the ecu and counting blinks. Not sure about others.

But we need the code to really help you out. Did you reconnect everything you disconnected?
