If your fuel cap is now on tight, just go ahead and reset the error code using an OBD-II scanner (free rental at Autozone).

Disabling the fuel gas cap sensor is a violation of Federal emissions laws and may cause the car to fail emissions tests. Don't do it!

Sounds like the beginning infamous gauge cluster problem. Does your fuel gauge misread sometimes?

Caug,

If you tightend your fuel cap and after a few resarts the ECu probably reset itself. If it comes back on go get codes run for free at Autozone or somewhere. Bad fuel can also trigger a check engine.

Congrats on your kill. You found a lotus driver who can't drive. Those things are 4.9 sec 0-60 w/ 189hp.

it wasn't the cup. i always make it tight, but who know may be it was.

i know about lotus. it is a fun car.i was prepared to loose. i went for it and got lots of fun out of it.

The best part of racing that dude was, me looking at the guys face, while he was in process in between looking at me loking at him, looking at the road and switching gears and do that over and over.He actually finally cought up to me at around 90ish mph, but then we had to stop at the light, of course.if i had no drums and the gear i would be even faster.
