I started my Murano today and the service engine light came on. Then I went to pull away and it felt like there was NO power at all. I turned the car off, then back on and it did fine for a few miles. It seems like the CVT is not shifting right. When coasting slowly down a hill the RPM's climb up to about 3000 rpm making it difficult to brake. Has anyone else had this problem? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I just had the 30k service done at my dealer about a month ago. Could they have done something to it?

You may want to take the "service engine soon" light very seriously. Mine came on, and the dealer said it was no big deal... they just had to "re-teach" my computer something. Then, about 2 weeks later (April 2008)... my transmission completely went out! I was shocked because my car had been running fine. Since then, I've searched around... and apparently a lot of Murano owners are having the same problem. I had about 70,000 miles on my car at the time... but I've read about owners that had to replace their transmissions at as little as 30,000. And... one guy had to do it a couple of times!!

Good luck!
