service engine soon light soon came on in my 2000 Infiniti Q45

I did search the site first and the archives. My service engine light came on while I was driving. The car's driving and running fine. I found out that a family member put mid grade into the tank. I also checked the oil and it is low about 1/2 quart. It does have 99K on the engine. Suggestions, comments...

There was only one topic during the search and it was about a 97 Max. It did say an engine emission sensor need to be replaced in that car.

Do you think this could be the same situation with my Q45?

Hey, welcomd to NICO.

OBD II is your friend, so get a scan and report back with the codes. An FSM will also enlighten you.

Go to Autozone and have them "check the codes." Then you'll know exactly whats wrong.
