"service engine soon" light on

I am finding since last couple of days that the light "service engine soon" on in my Nissal Altima 99 GXE. Not sure, what could be the reason. The vehicle is driven only about 77K miles.

Also, I am very new to Raleigh/RTP area. Any recommendation for Nissan mechanics will be a great help...

A check engine light can be due to a number of reasons. If your unsure of your own diagnosis I would have a professional take a look. I moved your thread that was requesting a NC mechanic to regionals. You'll have better responses there.
