SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT AFTER HID INSTALL..

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS GOT THE "SES" LIGHT COME ON AFTER INSTALLING THEIR HID KIT... I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE BATTERY A FEW TIMES DURING THE COURSE OF THE INSTALL AND WHEN I TURNED MY CAR ON, THE LIGHT WAS ON. I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THIS LIGHT CAN EASILY BE RESET WITHOUT TAKING IT TO THE DEALER BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNEW HOW..

disconnect your battery for a few minutes and hook it back up, that should clear it

Do i remove the negative side of the battery again or the positive side of the battery? how long do I keep unplugged for?

Remove the neg side, its easier... and leave it off for 5 minutes or so and it should be good

Same thing happened to me when I installed my first set of HIDs.

I just disconnected the battery as others have already told you to do, and I was set.
