Hi all,A "service engine soon" light popped up so, after taking the car to Autozone, they show me that I have the following error codes: P0430 (catalyst system efficiency bank 2), P0120 (throttle/peddle position sensor), and P0605 (power train control/module). The P0430, they said, is likely the O2 sensor, the others, anyone's guess. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and if anyone has any advice/knowledge to share on these possible malfunctions. ThanksLance

Sounds like a trip to the Infiniti dealer is in order.......if not to fix , at least for proper diagnosis of problem....then order needed parts from Joe.

Welcome to NICO Lance!

Download your FSM (factory service manual) at http://www.phatg20.net - which will explain the codes and possible sources. That said, qship96 is right in that some of these codes can't be resolved easily without Consult - Nissan's diagnostic computer.

And the Nissan Central Diagnostic system which stores unique unusal codes and resolutions. Independents are at a disadvantage in not having access because of expense.

Even dealers may not see odd problems but the chances are somewhere in the Nissan World someone has seen and solved every problem.

Why 90 day dealer visits are so helpful.

But you always start with following the step by steps in FSM.

Take it to Beaverton Infiniti and have Eric look at it.

Took it to the Nissan serivce center in Wilsonville. They said the two catalytic converters are bad, need replacement, along with the y-pipe. $4,015 to fix. I asked if I can still drive it, and he said "its not safe. the engine can suck the converters in and cause massive damage." Is this total bull? Are these not for exhaust, and thus air is pushed out? Sounds fishy or am I just????????????Thanks all
