Finally, purchase the correct O2 sensor and install. There are also detailed instructions on how to replace O2 sensors in the FAQ/How-to thread.

Thanks for the reply, I am new to the forums, and I would like to ask you an important question. I noticed that my transmission fluid was low recently and I added 2 qurtz. I went today to aamco to check for a leak, and they found one by the drivers side axle. They also said that even if I install a new axle seal, it wont solve my problem since there is excessive play found in differential. aamco is saying transmission must be removed to repair!!!! I was very skeptical when I heard this, and still am. I think they are pulling my leg inorder to get me to rebuild the transmission for 2k. I asked 2 other mechanics over the phone and they said this car has a well built transmission ect.. and they doubt that this is the case. They both recommended that I do a transmission flush and make sure to use OEM Fluids and change the seal.... Frankly at this point I dont know what to do anymore.. can you please give me any input on what to do, I just bought the car not even 2 months ago, and I cant afford to pay 2k to do this... Any help would be appreciated..Thanks again

Never return to that Aamco again.

Most likely just the axle seal. How many miles do you have?

Worst case scenario, you could buy a used, low mileage transmission from a junk yard for less than $1k.

I have 89k on the car.. I'll tell you exactly what happend from when it started. 2-3 weeks ago I started noticing the transmission slipping, but since I didnt know what it was, I thought it would just go away. Last week it happened again about 3 times, and so i took it to the mechanic he said You have No fluid in the transmission, and so I added 2 quartz which made the car drive better since sunday. yesterday I drove it for an hour on the highway then parked it next to the office, to come out and find that the SERVICE ENGINE light was ON... Then today I said Thats it and i took it to AAMCO, They are Crooks... I cant believe it, The guy says to me even if you replace it, you still gonna have a problem with the transmission.. because its a common thing for these cars to have this issue... He goes to me those cars are notorious for that... So what do you recommend I do Max ??Thanks again
