First, a quick overview of my situation:

2003 M45 with ~72k on it. First problem with car to date. Car still operates and function perfectly, however, 2 weeks ago, my 'Service Engine Soon' light came on. I had a buddy run the code for me and it indicated a faulty Fuel Level Sensor...on a side note, my fuel gauge is broken (as others on here have experienced and has been for some time so this appears unrelated). I had him reset the code and drove it for another week thinking it might have been a glitch. After a week, it lit up again and I put in a new fuel level sensor last wednesday.

Went on a road trip this weekend and on the way back (after approx. 500 miles) the service light came on again.

Obviously I haven't run the code on this latest warning yet, so this may be a little pre-emptive, but I saw a post on here about someone replacing a fuel level sensor and thought that maybe someone has had a similar experience?

Any help is appreciated! thanks

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling it would be the gauge cluster but was hoping it wasn't.

Guess it's time to call Infiniti and start lobbying for them to cover some of the repair cost!
