Service Engine Light

The service engine soon light came on during a recent trip on my 1999 1/2 QX4. I removed the gasa cap with no results. Is there a way to check the error code without taking it to the dealer?

Go to your local autozone, they do the check for free. Dealer will charge you $100.

Thanks for the advice. They were very helpful, it was an O2 sensor.
