Service engine light?

Hi,I Had a code for the vapor soliniod in the rear of the 1998 200sx. I put a new one in and the service light is still on? How do you reset it?ThanksBob

if it completes the test that initially set the light 3 times the light will extingish itself. only other way to clear codes on an OBDII system is with a scan tool.

umm, my question is kinda different from him....the other day my car was kinda like wanting to stall when i was doing 70 in the freeway...then i sloewd down to park and before i parked it died....that evening i checked the distributor cap as suggested by my mechanic, the cap turned out looking clean n normal, so i moved on..i then recalled that i had to change my fuel filter 6000 miles ago...i changed it n test drove the car for about 5 miles everything was great..the next morning i drove about 3 miles n then the servive engine soon light lit..i was just wondering why did it lit up, did i forget something.

no way to tell. you need to get it scanned.
