Welcome to NICO.

In the future, click the SEARCH button in the upper right corner of the window. It will get you answers to pretty much any question you may have.

You can scan the ECU yourself to see if it is throwing codes, here is how (from the 240sx.org FAQ section): http://www.240sx.org/faq/artic...h.htm

See if that helps you out.

The OBD-II scantools run about $150 if you are willing to spend that much on a descent scantool. Remember it will scan the computer on 96-up models of most cars, so you could charge other people for diagnostics too and it should pay for itself. Just a thought. Like was already mentioned you can find the procedure at the 240 faq also.

Scanning it yourself with a screwdriver is free. Very big difference.
