Car is a 1999 Infiniti I30. Check engine light is on. Read the codes out and got:

-P0138 - EGR flow malfunction-P0400 - O2 sensor high voltage

Again suggestions on where to start? Does this sound like one problem that is causing both? Or two separate problems?

Let me fix those for you.

-P0138 - O2 sensor high voltage-P0400 - EGR flow malfunction

For the O2, you either have a bad sensor or a short in the harness. Pretty much the same thing with the EGR Volume Control Valve (located in the area below the throttle body); either a bad valve or a short in the harness.
