what's up guys!

has anyone installed an aftermarket intake and your engine service light came on?

I installed a Z-tube with a JWT pop charger in my 04 6MT. i drove it for about 200 miles and the SES light came on. Not sure if the intake is the cause of it but it was the only thing i did new before it came on.

Does anyone know how to reset this light or i need to take it in?

thanks!

Is the maf back as it supposed to be? Is the car running good?

Did you touch the maf sensor it maybe dirty. Some of the Filter comes with way to much oil it it mightby something like that.

thanks for your reply!

the MAF is back where it should be and the car runs fine and i was careful not to touch anything inside when i removed it.. I didn't notice anything different.

aas for the oil from the filter... never thought about that.. would carb cleaner do the job of cleaning the MAF?

I'd be really hesitant to use any harsh chemicals on the MAF. Damage it and you'll be buying a new one. I did find this thread in the Sentra/G20 forum that might help:

Apparently there is a spray cleaner designed just for the MAF sensor. I had the dealer clean mine under warranty, (and I have the JWT/Z Tube set-up too).

Thanks for the link!i was also reading another thread and someone had suggested disconnecting the battery for a bit and hooking it back up. I did that tonight and the light went off. Haven't gotten a chance to drive it around yet to see if the light comes back on. I'll definately pick up some MAF cleaner if the light comes back on.

thanks again for all your help guys!

For sure... that will clear the light. Now, if it comes back on, you can try cleaning the MAF, or even better, take it to the dealer for a check-up.
