"On certain 2006 M35/45 vehicles, the radiator fan motor may begin to operate incorrectly or not operate at all. If this occurs, in certain limited circumstances, the engine control logic may temporarily reduce engine output in order to protect against overheating damage."

I received this yesterday and figured you guys would like to know. Has anyone else receive this notification? I guess this is good since my fan makes an awfully loud noise and I thought that it was normal.

I had this service perform on my M35 about 2 weeks ago. It is my understanding that the dealer keeps the parts for this repair in stock so you won't have to leave your car if you don't want to.

I never received any notification either on my '06 but this morning I took mine in for routine service and they replaced mine under warranty. Mine was defective.
