My PS3 is about 2 feet from my router and I have tried both wired and wireless connection. The wireless connections seems to work better then the wired set up.My SSID is set to broadcast and it doesn't use any type of protection (No user name & password).S13FX wrote:Is you PS3 connected to the internet with wireless?
If so is you SSID set to broadcast?
I know there have been problems with wireless connections to the router with the ps3 if your SSID is not set to broadcast.
just an FYI that setting is usually turned on by default but you never know. I turn mine off all the time.

I think the problem is that you need to play on 360 so you can accept my friend requestrcabrita wrote: Comcast
UPDATE:I set one of my IP#s as DMZ as a last resort.I then set up my PS3 under that IP# and now when I go online for COD4 I get "Downloading Game Settings". This happens when there is a lapse communication durring the setup process that occurs when you click the "Multiplayer" button on the COD4 menu.

Could be interference from other electronic devices emitting high EMF's in the area. Happened at my friends house.rcabrita wrote: Comcast
