Green Bay had the game last night. That call was complete and utter crap.

I agree the officiating was worse than it likely would have been with the regular ref's, but perhaps last night's night's debacle will entice the NFL to settle with the regular ref's.

I feel bad for the team from the frozen tundra. They got robbed.

That field goal was debatable, but not as much as last night. Forget about who actually made the catch, how about the offenisve PI when Tate shoved the Green Bay player to the ground seconds before jumpging for said catch? Number 33, you can see him in the pic above on the right. No where near the catch because he got laid out. Penalty should have ended the game, not a safe at homebase traveling violation for high sticking.

I supported the replacement refs as I thought the regular refs screwed up a lot, now I am very much reconsidering.

Gee, wow. You mean to say you were only angered by ONE bad call in that entire game?

If you really want to get technical, there were so many bad calls in that game that the entire outcome of the game is suspect. But please, continue btiching about the one play that seems to make all the difference without being related to all the others that I lost track of. Ugh.

For those of us who do enjoy sitting down and watching the games, is does kinda suck that these guys are doing such a poor job. It'd kinda be like if you're watching your favorite TV show and all of the characters started speaking in monotone in a different language and never faced the camera. Or the plot of an action movie that was really interesting suddenly became a documentary on why trees can't walk.

The things that the refs do during games shows their lack of knowledge and ability to be persuaded into giving certain calls in situations. They're but with time it'll get better. What people should be concerned with is the player safety that is effected because of their missed calls and poor judgement. If anything, injuries as a result of loose officiating will be the reason the other refs are brought back....

Apparently $150-$200 million dollars was lost because of that call.

Thats a pretty bad call to miss, theres no denying it. I swear there had been so many BS calls that cost the Redskins atleast one of the 2 losses...

Let the manly kind of men that actually watch sports say whether its just a game or not. ITS NOT JUST A GAME, ITS A WAY OF LIFE!

Yep, it's wonderful having better trained refs back making bad or missed calls. :chuckle:

I think bad calls are always made at the worst times on purpose.

It's a conspiracy by the bilderbergs and the illuminati. They hate organized sports.

Being from Baltimore, I'm sure that you will find my views to be biased, but the field goal in the MNF game was debatable at worst. If the uprights extend infinitely upward and there is no hitting the post above it, it was good by rule. Two feet lower and that may not have been the case. I would say the same thing if NE had been kicking that FG to win the game.

As for the Packers call...that may be the worst call that I have ever seen.

Glad to have the real refs back. There will still be bad calls, no one is perfect, but at least there are no excuses at this point. Everyone's games are being called by those with professional experience. Maybe now people will appreciate what we have with these officials and realize that the grass isn't always greener.
