about how much gas can u squeeze into an 07 350z? I know it's supposd to have a 20 gallon tank in there... but the most I can ever fill in is 15 gallons..and I fill it up when it gets right to "E" and the trip computer tells me I have lik 37 miles to empty.. but only 15 gallons go in... does that mean there's another 5 in the tank? 5 gallons on E that's another 140miles worth of gas though on E??

Yeah, that sounds about right... all cars are like this. My gas light came on yesterday and said I had 40 miles left, and took 16.5 gallons to fill. Take the hint when the car says it's empty, dont rely on this extra five gallons. Its bad for the fuel pump to run with little gas. The gas acts as a coolant for the fuel pump, which is why you can kill the pump trying to start with an empty tank. Plus you are more likely to suck up any sludge or dirt that is in the bottom of the tank. And if you take a turn or accelerate or brake hard you run the risk of the pump sucking air.

140 miles on 5 gallons means you are getting 28 mpg, which I higly doubt.

On a recent trip between Wisconsin and Kansas City, I had between 27-28mpg for the trip.....not so unbelievable...and I have no cruise control to keep it all "even".

If you keep your foot out of it...and keep your speed to posted limits (within reason 5-10 over'ish)

I suppose if the z owner lived were it was used in a mostly hilly area primarily there's no way you could get that kind of mpg out of it...and the mpg numbers would sound far fetched...

yeah i usually do a lot of highway driving i don't have cruise either and i don't drive that fast... but still only get 15 gallons in there even on E.. i mean my other car that has 20 gallons would literally take 19 gallons on e that i can uderstand......so i dunno
