....to rev by me while driving down the road?

You can’t be serious that this driver was intimidated by a 1st generation baby rogue.

But we rolling the same parent company brand!

So you go sound those extra 100 horsepower. :bowrofl:

I mean American muscle cars communicate that way, but I don’t see a that type of camaraderie with upscale Nissan sports cars and the rogue drivers. :lolling:

Next time challenge a mustang....mr. Infiniti Suv driver. :domo:

You know that relative who's acting all huffy around everyone else just because they happen to be a little bit better off? Yeah, that's kind of the feeling I get around Acura, Infiniti and Lexus drivers.

OP: I used to race my Rogue against every reasonable slow soccer mom mobile up and down I-95. Only lost to Mercedes AMG and similar vehicles.

I drive an Acura and trust me, after driving a Rogue for 2 years (before totaling it), there is an enticement to show off how slow and horrible these POS Nissan Rogue mommy mobiles are. I've seen other Rogue owners that revved at me while I was in a Rogue (2016 or 2019, depending on the circumstance).

That post is completely contradictory.

I find it very hard to believe any Rogue owner would go to the trouble to click into neutral just to rev at your mom's CVT-infested loaner.

In my case, the person revved their engine in drive mode. It was a normal street where it was transitioning from 45 to 35mph while heading toward an intersection. So everybody normally would be slowing down.

I guess the person in the Infiniti with their tiny brain assumed my off-road looking vehicle meant tons of horsepower. So they felt the need to heavy foot the gas. Sort of huge muscles but short down there kinda thing personality. :bowrofl:

I understand Loud Harley Davidson’s and those with upgraded mufflers, but come on, a Q-50 needing to be loud vs. a 1st gener Nissan Rogue with a crappy cvt? A GT-R yah...could see that! :werd:

Ps- I’m an old fart but I could see young people just revving any 🚗 for the heck of it. :spitout:

Hahaha, I'd assume anyone driving a Rogue should know they're not lapping records at the Nurburgring anytime soon, so to read that other owners rev you comes to me as very odd :wtf2:

When I had a 240SX with a SR20DET I got very good at actuating the blow off valve with my foot and a shift.
I could "WOOSH!" at people at will and I did :D

I do appreciate hearing the occasional turbo blow off myself :bigthumb:

That's a huge difference from revving your CVT econoturd or thinking you're "racing" anything and everything.

So I had another QX50 that revved by me in the merging lane while in the process of making a right turn at an intersection with a stoplight.

I interpret this situation as a person in a rush because it seemed that way as they were up behind me.

Which I don’t know why after 9pm when not many drivers out during the .... umm pandemic.

Is it me or are the QX50 like to be race drivers or are they just the “me, me, me, self-entitled generation douchebags that buy these cars?

Who revs into a merging lane to turn right? Or maybe I’m just an old dinosaur who don’t know the trends of the young people.

By all means I’m no Sunday driver and do the limit or 5mph above it.

But I do notice society seems pretty mean lately, especially since Trump took office. And I don’t care who becomes president because they will have the same problems as all the previous ones.

Seriously, I’m not surprised there are not more suicides with everybody with a chip on their shoulder cuz of everything going on these days.

I guess with the self distancing and boring times, the only way to get a boner or excitement these days is to race that QX50 engine. Bwahaha! :lolling:
