Car: 94 Q45
Problem: On cold startup, when shifting from "park" to "drive," it takes the car 3-5 seconds to kick itself into drive gear. RPM's kind of go up right when transmission is trying to shift itself from park to drive too. Any ideas?

I would try a pan drop and filter screen replacement first... if the filter is clogged, it can cause reduced pressure and starvation. Do you hear any buzzing or howling noises?

No buzzing. No howling noises. Just takes a little longer than normal for the transmission to kick from PARK to DRIVE.

By the way, dumb question but...how many (total) engine/transmission mounts does the 94 Q45 have? 2 or 3?

A 1990-1996 Infiniti Q45 has three mounts for the engine and transmission. Two are for the engine and one for the transmission.

Thanks so much for the response. Do you know if there are any diagrams that show how to replace these? It doesn't seem like q45.org has anything.
