my rb25det runs great pulls hard but its got one big problem it randomly turns off when im driving. it turns off randomly at any throttle mainly at higher rpm's and about half throttle. it used to do it like once a week not even but ever since i timed it this afternoon its doing it a lot at least once in each gear. now here is the weird part when the car turns off if i put the clutch in it will start right back up without me doing anything. if i let off the gas the car starts right back up. and if it does it when im just off the throttle going down a hill i tap the gas and it starts right back up. im stumped iv checked everything it did not do it last year when i had it and all i have changed is in the suspension of the car and clutch so i dont understand what could have happened.

I had a similar problem almost the exact same thing. Mine was that a small strand of wire from my MAF poked through the heatshink and was grounding its self out on the shielding.

nice ill get that checked out sometime tomorrow. iv been thinking about it possibly being my throttle. i never adjusted my tps sensor when i installed it on my q45 throttle body but it does not make sence to me. would that have anything to do with it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think it would fall flat on its face randomly after pulling hard if it were the tps. All the times I've had problems with cars falling flat, its always been electrical, whether it'd be a short, a loose connection, that kind of thing

i had that same issue with my rb25det series 1. Ended up being a bad maf. I would switch it out with a newer one if possible.

Symptoms:While normal driving and coming to a stop motor would just die. Hard to restart. Had to wait a few mins then go at it again.

Whats your F/P doing? Do you have an aftermarket pump?
