about 1 week ago my Oil light came on when I would brake but than it would go out....about 2 days after the problem persisted the Service engine light came on (which happened before when I purchased the car but after a few adjustments to the Gas cap it later turned itself off) and upon acceleration and lower speeds the engine makes this weird vibration "clickty Clack" noise......I immediately assumed the worse because I have blown head gaskets on my Toyota Supra on a previous occasion, but I did notice that although the noise was unusual and seemed to be very urgent the car still performed as if nothing was "seriously" wrong with it.......I took the car to jiffy Lube (sorry to say I don't have the time nor experience to change my own oil) because I wanted to know why the Oil light had come on when my car was not due for another Oil change until another month and a thousand more miles......I assumed that they had did something incorrectly and ask the rep to check out the Oil...she informed me that the oil was "A LITTLE DIRTY" but it wasn't low and the light shouldn't of been coming on......she ran a diagnostic on the vehicle and it came back that there was a "Belt difference, and a "Acceleration actuator" problem (I've never heard of such a thing)......I immediately called the mechanics at percision tune whom I just paid to replace the belts in my vehicle the previous month and took the vehicle in to be inspected by them........After 4 hours and various drives around the mechanics couldn't find any problems with the vehicle and the Mysterious noise had stopped......they used there diagnostics machine on the vehicle but the Rep at jiffy lube "Cleared the Codes" and turned the lights off......The guys at Percision Tune informed me that there was a recall on the vehicle and I should contact the Dealer about the problem......I did contact Infiniti Corp and they informed me that the vehicle didn't have any "Open Campaigns" which meant that the previous owner had already alleiveated the problems.....Both lights came bcak on the next day after I left Percision Tune and the noise and vibration is seemingly getting worse......I had another individual look at the vehicle and he couldn't find anyhthing wrong with it......I finally thought that maybe my girlfriend hit something and it stuck up under the hood.......so I looked but found nothing.......I finally had a co worker get into the driver seat while I opened the hood and I saw that the noise was clearly coming from the engine.....Since the thing is covered up I can't even begin to tell you excactly from where....This is my first experience with a vehicle that has any of these "mysterios symptoms" could some please HELP ME

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR! A clickty clack noise + an oil light + vibration tells me there might be an issue with your oil pump or something of that sort. Your engine isn't getting enough oil, and you continuing to drive it is going to have you staring down a bill for a new engine or shopping for a new car. Skip all of the Precision Tune and Jiffy Lube stuff and take it to the Infiniti or Nissan Dealer, somebody that actually knows the car. It might cost a little more, but it'll be worth having someone that knows what they're talking about take a look at your car.

Thanks.......I'm going to contact the dealer and see if they can help me in anyway.........Do you by any chance know how an "Ball Park" figure on what I should pay for the replacement of the Oil Pump? when I usually have an issue with my vehicle's I shop around to several certified mechanics to make sure that I don't get ripped off......But I never delt with any whom specialized in Japanese Vehicles (My previous Car was an Audi A6 nice to look at but a real PAIN IN THE *SS to own). This is the first problem that I had with this vehicle and I'm hoping that it'll be the last....It drives wonderfully, it has the Smooth V6, and not to mention a deep Dark Blue exterior with Black Leather to Match.....I'd really hate to have to give it up or make any Costly Repairs.

Honestly I don't have a clue what an oil pump replacement would cost you. I can't even tell you that the oil pump is your problem for sure. Like I said before, just take it to a Nissan or Infiniti (preferrably Infiniti) dealer and have it diagnosed and have everything written on the repair order. THEN, if you feel the cost of the fix is too much, do some shopping around while your car is still at the dealer. If you can't beat the dealers price, have the work done there. For a problem like what you're having, I don't know that I'd trust an independent unless he specializes in NISSANS & INFINITI's, not just Japanese vehicles alone.

From experience that can be a big f*** deal. I think the oil pump it is ran off the crankshaft and the timming chains will have to come off and oil pans will have to be removed to replace it.
