serious problem

ok,well the problem started a few weeks ago on my 95 240.its a completely stock auto if thats any help.i was at a friends house and i pulled up to where my front wheels were off the driveway and there was a little lip to get them back on.when i went to back out,the car just shut off when i gave it gas to get over the lip.it took about 6 tries to get it to roll enough to get over the lip and then it died again.ever since then i have to barely tap the gas when im in reverse and i cant be backing uphill or over anything thatll put force against backing up.anyone know how to fix this?

lol good idea and alll but when i try all i get is a few jerks and then it shuts off

check your MAF connection. also check fuel filter and fuel pump
