wassup i got a serious problem with my sr. let me start off with saying this. my engine is completely stock and im running the regular ngk plugs on stock boost. this is what happens when im running it. it will boost all through 1st gear with no problem but then when u slam it into 2nd just before it reaches full boost it leans out and hesitates for like a sec or two then the boost will kick in the it will go all the way to the top of the gear but then tha sam thing will happen when i shift into the next gear.

we thought it was the plugs all fouled up but then we realized when we pulled em the tips where a bright write colour.so my guess can only be that the tps is bad or i need to change my fuel filter.also some people were telling me that i shouldnt "t" the boost gauge off of the fuel regulater vaccum line. is this true....HELP

i think you are misfiring. you need to get like, 1 step colder plugs or 2 step colder plugs.

check your tps voltage ....its middle pin on the tps sensor...and at idle its supposed to read .455 ......if not...adjust it....sounds to me like its set really high......and also when your WOT (wide open throttle) it should read around 4.0 volts or so.

Check base timing, and you should be running NGK coppers with around a 6 or so heat range, gapped to around 0.030".
