maybe your mas air flow meter is a little off. try unplugging it cleaning the plugin area, and then plug it back in.

You may have a clogged converter try disconnecting the down pipe before the catalyctic converter and take it for quick spin. maybe a little more info would be good on symptom does it feel like a missfire? Also when you checkthe connection on your mass air meter try cleaning the little resistor inside it might be contaminated with junk.

Is the Check Engine Light on? If so, start there! Sounds like limp mode to me, but i dont know specifically what would cause that in these cars and if it even happens. If the CEL isnt on, then turn the car to on, or crank the car and make sure it comes on for a few seconds. If you never see it come on then someone removed it or its blown out.
