Does anybody know if Birkmire Auto Design, a.k.a B.A.D., is still around? These guys specialized in gen 1 (90-95) Q45s. Their house Q45 top-end was over 200 mph!. They carried super-chargers, exhuast, headers, nitrous, etc. If I recall, they had a couple of packages. The first was a super-charger, headers, exhaust for about $4000. This put out nearly 500hp. If you wanted them to go all out, you could do their complete upgrade, with nitrous, and run at about 900hp! Not sure I would ever do this to my Q, unless I had lots of xtra cash and another sports car as a daily driver.

Ummmm....

Geoff,

Dr. Rex Birkmire (aka SpeedDoctor) is the founder/owner of NICO. One of his modified Q's is currently owned by our very own Fred (palmerwmd).

Rex can be reached through this forum, although he is an incredibly busy man and may take a while to respond. Almost any question you have for him can PROBABLY be answered quite well by his "loyal servant", Fred.

:D

Thanks for the info...I had no idea of the connection between NICO and B.A.D. I was just recently looking for their website and couldnt seem to locate it with a search.

Back in the early days of NICO, the NICO store was the outlet for BAD products..

Back in those days we didn't have nearly as many members as we do now, so interest in BAD products was not strong, as a result it was discontinued.

Rex is toying with the idea of starting ,some of it back, up.

Fred...:)
