hey guys...as some of you have already noticed, i have some major electrical problem...so much so that i think its really whats causing my car to not start...

this thread will give you background...

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....81790

if you already read it, then noticed that on my last post on that thread, i said that some electrical things are not working...

I THINK, THINK that this is why my car is not running...OTHER THINGS that i've checked to see if they are working or not:

WORKING

1.) emergency lights (on the gauge it flashes and the rear lights flashes, the front ones don't)

2.) The starter seems to be cranking because its trying to turn over...

3.) The dome lights in the passenger carpartment is working, the light below the rear view mirror is working...

NOT WORKING

1.) Head lights don't come on, Tail lights don't come on.

2.) When you turn the key pass the ACC part, (the part where the brake light is suppose to come on, and the check engine light and all those other lights are suppose to come on), (right before the engine tries to crank), THEY ARE NOT ON when i try to crank the car.

3.) The windows don't work, the wipers don't work, most electrical stuff that is suppose to work is not working...

4.) MY GUESS --> I belive the electrical outtage somewhere is causing my fuel pump to not come on...

***I've checked all my fuses in the front of the car and below the dash on the driver side...

QUESTIONS:

1.) ANY ideas of where the EVEN start looking...i'm very and and ...alot at myself and some at the car...

2.) ANY body know what the hell the EGI is...or the EGI Pump...

I'm very bad with electrical crap...my guess is that some fuse somewhere is messed up...but i have no idea...help!!!

i could really use your help guys...i understand this isn't a place where i can expect a direct perfect answer every time but a place where 240 fans try to help each other out...if i can't get much lead from you guys...looks like its back to the shop...

like i said in the other previous post, everthing went bad after i forgot to fill up the coolent and then it overheated and then steam started coming from the throttle body area...after that is when i filled up the coolent and tried to start it up but no longer starts....

anyways, give me whatever tips you can, i am just fresh out of ideas of this massive messed up electrical problem...

You don't live in a area with mice do you?? Because if you have all good fuses then a mouse could have bittin' a bunch of wires and made the short out or what not, these days you never know.

one possibility that comes to mind is that the EGI Pump relay (fuel pump) shorted out. But the dummy lights not coming on, nor the head and tail lamps, leads me to believe that something else is the cause.

Check all of your wiring harness in the area of the overheat for possible meltdowns. The fuel pump works by drawing its power from the fuse, and the ECU acts as a ground. The wire for the pump runs through the fuse and then up under the front upper radiator support, around the driver side of the engine compartment and through the firewall, and finallizes at the pump. Since the headlight wiring is part of the chassis wiring that the fuel pump wire runs through, I'd double check all of the harnesses for any critical melt downs.

Also, toptech mentioned you should check your intake mani ground. Very good idea. Any ground that's missing can cause some weird issues.

EDIT: Of course I'm just throwing out random shot in the dark ideas for this. The problem is way too specific. If all else fails, take it to a mechanic. At the very least, they can tell you what's wrong with it

to sure if you have tryed this or not, but check your TCU, it is the little white box that is in with the fuses by your feet. it controls alot of the stuff you are having problems with.
