So a few months back I was driving home one day and all of the sudden my brakes stopped working. I would step on the brake and nothing would happen. I thought it was because of one of my rear brakes, apparently one of the pads was so worn that it just fell off.

So today, we replaced all the pads and even the rear calipers. We tried it out and it does pretty much the same thing. Except this time the car will stop but I have to pump the brakes rapidly. There doesn't seem to be any leaks in the lines, and we bleed all four corners before we tried.

So my question is what could be the problem? I tried the brake booster air tight test, I pumped the brakes and the resistance increased. What could it be???? we did not bleed that ABS actuator could that be it????

I'm open to any suggestions.

did you change the brake master cylinder? The brake booster will be fine if you press the brake pedal while the car is off and the pedal gets harder and harder to press. Also remember that you want to bleed in order of the lines length that is furthest away from the brake master cylinder. On the S13's it's the drivers side rear, not the passengers side rear. Check out the brake master and see if the problem persists.

Yes, if you have to pump the brakes, either you have a leak in your lines somewhere, or air in the lines. Try bleeding them all again, in the order LR, RR, LF, RF. If that doesn't fix it, check for leaks along the hard lines. Also check to make sure you have enough fluid inside your master cylinder.

on the 240, you would want to bleed the RR before the LR due to it being further away from the master cylinder

Nope, the 240 is different. Chilton's says LR first, and if you do a search on here everybody that has talked about it agrees.

Yep, left side before right. If you don't believe it, have a look at the underside closer to the front of the car near the diff, biased towards the passenger side. You'll see a distribution block that splits off for the rear lines. The LR line is longer than RR.
