Hey! I feel Ive done my share of researching and my series 2 wiring is near complete. There are just 5 more wires that i have not a clue what to do with!

To begin, i purchased the wiring video as well as borrowed my friends series 1 wiring for reference. I can find tons of wiring info for the series 1, but series 2 seems more rare. A majority of the Ecu pinout are different colored wires, which got really confusing when comparing to the series one, but i think i figured all of that out.

Anyways...On the series II, the TPS is different. (It has 2 plugs rather than the one of series I)

The top plug with the Br/B, R/L, and Y/B wires goes to the ECU, but the second gray plug wires (Light G, Gy/W, and purple/R) went to the rb power interface which has been removed. Now the Light green, Grey/White, and the Purple/Red wires to the gray plug are left, where do they go??

Next, and also cut from the power interface is a Thicker, Black/ Yellow wire. Ive traced it back to either the White plug connecting to the lower harness, or a ground on the top of the radiator inlet. or Which one is it??

Last is the thick grey wire on the white injector plug. In the wiring video, the guy says the grey wire needs to be wired to 12v, but thats only for series 1. On the series 1 harness it is still a gray wire, but its much thinner. What do i do with this series 2 gray wire??

Any help on this would be great! I dont like being a part of NRRB

Thanks,Tanner

I dont know if its what you want to know , but there is 2 Tps connector and all you have to do is to plug them both on the tps .

No not really, i know where the TPS is, and where it plugs in. I meant where do the specific wires on the Gray plug wire to? They originally connected to the Rb power dash interface plug, but that is now removed since its being installed in my s13.

Any more help wont hurt please?

Thanks!

Here are a couple of things that will hopefully help.

TPS - you have an auto Throttle Body. One TPS goes to the ECU and one connector goes to the interface plug, just like you found it. Then, through the interface plug the 3 wires go to the Auto control unit, which you are not using. The 3 wires that came from the interface plug, cut them and tape them up.

Black/Yellow wire - generally on the RB. The grounding is done with Black/Yellow wires. But, there is also a check connector which uses one of black/yellow wires for signal off of the coils... You are probably looking at the check connector wiring. Again, not much you can do with it. Leave as is and tape up the check connector. I will bet $5 that you will never use it again.

Thick Grey wire - on the Series 2 RB25, the injector power (thick grey wire) is already powered by a swicthed source, so no additional work is needed. When we did the video, we only did the S1 harness, so there are a few chages you have account for.

Good luck.

Thank you very much!

And so you know, the video is awesome, its very helpful! The only thing that you may revise for series II people is make sure to say what the wire connects to. On the majority you did, but there were a select few wires you only mentioned the color lol.

I may have one other thing that could use some attention...

My ecu appears to be fried...

The resistor in the bottom right corner is discolored and i can see some melted portions. Does anyone know what its for? I ordered a new ecu today, but i want to know if this one is usable still.

Any input is awesome!

oh yeah...and heres the progress... Decided to be a little different with the bay

Engine looks good man. The wiring video was done more than 3 years ago... The Series II was still a bit in the shadows. As of now, no plans to make any new ones.

It does look like a resistor that is burned in the ECU. It might just need replacement to get to work.

Good luck.Yury
