Ok so my current set up is rb25det swap in s13 240sx, when i bought the car it had an N/A rb25, i haven't changed the engine harness that came in the car, i pulled one engine and dropped the new one in. I'm running a front mount and 3"cat back with 3" test pipe, split fire coils with stock rb ecu. I think that sums up anything aftermarket. There's some stuff left unplugged due to the previous owner deleting the wires, oil pressure sending unit, knock sensors, and the solenoid under the intake mani (I'm unsure of the name of that solenoid). Now the issues I'm having - car will only rev to 6500rpm (is this the factory limit?), seems to be running rich, will often back fire between s***, and seems like it bogs under acceleration, i thought that it could be running knock maps due to sensors being unplugged, so i attempted the resistor trick with 1m ohm resistors and it seems like nothing changed?

Any advice or info will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Welcome to NICO!
Congrats on the new car.

I don't know a heck of a lot about those engines, but any time you buy someone elses work, you're always in for some extra work.
However, I'll try to help you out systematically...
The FMIC, coils, and exhaust aren't going to be your issue, but some of those sensors may be. However, since you're not revving very far, I'd check timing first. After that, plugs, assuming you haven't replaced them. Which RB ECU do you have? It might not be correct for the engine.

You've got some research to do, but start checking out the timing. If you're still having trouble, I suggest taking a peek at one of our vendors in the marketplace- Wiring Specialties. They've got harnesses for most any Nissan engine/chassis and if you can't find the answer through some conventional means, you can eliminate wiring as a problem if you buy a new harness from them. If you go that route, make sure to mention NICO and you'll get a discount.

Are there any check engine lights on? You said its the stock ECU, so you'd think it would be throwing some kind of codes.

Is it still N/A?
Maybe you have a boost leak or something too if its turbo.
