series 1 or 2

okay this is a big noob question but i dont care and yes i have searched for it aand have found nothing. i know the series one engine has the ignitor chip as were thr series 2 engine does not. the reason i am asking is i need a maf and was wondering does it matter if it is a series 1 maf or will it work for both but any ways does any one have pics of the ignitor chip or can someone tell me were to look because i dont know what ot look for. thanks in advance and if any of yall can post some pics up it would sure help.

sorry don't have any pics (at work).

Igniter chip will be a metal / plastic box about 2"x2" with 2 plugs attached to it, sitting on the coil pack cover.

The series 1 and 2 MAF's are different mainly due to their plug.
