Note Toyota 2008 already has 2 injectors per cylinder

One port, one direct on their 3.5L V6. New 4.6L V8 too, I think.

A puff of cool evaporating ethanol [or water or even more gasoline] at just before TDC works a lot better than a knock sensor sensing knock and retarding some cycles in the future.

Preemptive vs reactive.

Maybe 3 injectors per cylinder would even work better...............can't wait to hear the used owner 120-150k whinning about repairs.

As we all know old injector designs lasted too long thus prolonging the agony of repair costs.
