Sentra touchscreen?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

New here so let's give this a try.

I have a 07 Se-r with the Rockford Fosgate package and i'm looking to put in some subs and touchscreen head unit. I'm wondering if anyone has done this also what units would fit in this area that the head unit already exsists in.

Thanks in advance!

I personally haven't done it but I believe any Double Din 4"x7" unit will fit. You will also need some special adapters/harnesses if you want to keep your computer/gauge info - see metraonline.com

As for the unit itself, I would suggest getting a brand name like Pioneer or Kenwood - Futureshop or Bestbuy should have them.

Hey Nootz,

What I did on mine, was to move the factory installed HU to the glove box making myself an extension cable. Then, I installed a Jensen (I know... don´t make any comments) touchscreen unit and connected its output to the auxiliary input of the HU in the glove box. I didn´t need any frame, but I have a bit of space around the Jensen unit. Not bad.

Now, this setup has advantages:1. You keep the Bluetooth and Steerwheel controls.2. You keep the MPG, DTE, etc. info screen.3. Low cost of Jensen HU and good fit.

And disadvantages:1. You use space in your glove box.2. You run your new HU through the auxiliary input of your old HU.

A good website to try if you don´t know what new HU to buy, is http://www.crutchfield.com Enter your car info and it will show you what fits in there...I don´t have any pics by the moment, but let me know if you want some.Good luck...

I have a Sony Touchsreen installed that i did myself. You will need the wiring harness and double din kit. The only bad is like he says u lose your steering wheel controls. I haven't figured out how to power my subs yet since i can't find an opening in the firewall.
