So here's the deal, I got an 06 Sentra 1.8S that I want to lower but don't have the money to go with a full coilover kit. My questions is, what is it that I need to lower the car aside from the springs of course, and do any of you know any places where I can get them from for a reasonable price? I plan on doing the installation myself along with a friend so any tips regarding the installation will also be appreciated. Thanks

Bro, Trust me on this one GET THE COILOVERS!!! NOT the Springs and shocks See, when you get springs it's just one size like 1.6 -1.4 - 2.0 thats it. When you get AJUSTABLE Coilovers U can ajust them lower or higher Also there only maybe $100 to $150 differance on price. Examlpe:

Coilovers = $ 930 .00 +

Springs { Elbach } and shocks { KYB - AGX} = $ 800.00 +

Also check with Megan Racing . com Carstuff .com Drivewire.com

Also KS Sport Coilovers are good too and there ajustable. also if you have time go to Youtube .com Type " Install Coilovers on a car " You should get step by step on how to install them but they tell you u need 2 people to do it so, that should give u Info. on how to Install . Hey Bro, I use to live In Chicago Ill. GO CUBS!! GO BEARS !! GO BLACKHAWKS !! GO WOLVES !! GO BULLS! How's harry carrys resturant doing?

Well thanks for the reply, so far you're the only one so thanks. Anyhow, i actually just installed my new springs and sure i would of like to instead get the whole coilover kit but i just don't have 900 bucks laying around if you know what i mean. Besides the springs were like 150 bucks and i did the installation myself so i saved a lot. As far as struts and shocks go i was thinking of not going to stravagant and just get the KYB GR-2s which would come out to be like an extra 250 buck. From what i've heard they're pretty good. The car rides just fine right know with the springs so i think i'm gonna keep it as is for now till i can get the struts and shocks. Thanks again.

To be honest besides the adjustability, do you really need coilovers?Do you track the car?

Probably not, so a good strut + spring combo is best for 95% of people that lower their cars

I can't wait OHH, next time you take pictures of your car cover the license plate You just never know who's looking.Dude that ally reminds me of when I lived in Chicago.... Sweet memeries.

Memories are good bro. I'm still living them lol. Anyways, I used Megan Racing Springs. Not the best brand but they get the job done. It was suppose to be a 2" drop all around but it was more like 1.50 in the rear and like 2-2.25 in the front. As far as Struts and shocks go I'm debating between the KYB GR-2 and the Koni Adjustable Shocks and Struts. Of course there's a significant diffrent in prices but I'm in no hurry. Here's a pic of the car lowered and a before and after.

Looks much better lowered man, with that much of a drop you'll probably notice a decrease in ride quality pretty quick. I highly doubt your OE struts will be able to tolerate such a drop

If I were you I'd go for the Koni adjustables. They're expensive, yes. But you get what you pay for
