I searched around for this, and I am surprised no one has posted about this.

I seen these 17" Spec V wheels, commonly used on S13 240sx's as a nice addition to the car. I think they would suit the versa pretty well.

Anyone seen a Versa with these wheels? If not, any speculation as to whether or not they would fit? For all the guys rolling on pizza cutter 17's, did you have to roll the fenders for them to clear?

Thanks.

does that mean they fit?

them being too heavy is of little importance.

by the looks of them they will fit easy. but that is just by my judgement of looking at them. I know someone who fit 20's on a versa without rolling the fenders and they dont touch.

Really? Can you get pictures? Not that I don't believe you, I just want to see the hilarity of a Versa on 20's. That would make my day. /offtopic

I doubt that you'd have to roll the fenders judging by the wheel gap on the stock Versa - but that's just a guesstimate.

Those rims are heavy, i'm not sure if it will fit or not. I just had bad luck with those rims bent 3 of them hitting potholes on the way to school. Heavy but not very durable.

Only problem you run into is that the rims are 17x7" and the Versa needs 205/40R17 tires. You'd be hella stretching the rubber to get it fit, it'd look like a Japanese VIP car or something (hard to explain, but look it up and you'll know what I mean).

I thought about how nice the Spec V Wheels would look a while ago... but like nissantech06 said "it would strech the tire", Japanese Bippu style a.k.a. V.I.P. style is a hot look now..

If you don’t know what “Bippu Style” is your in for a treat. Bippu (Pronunced “VIPPU”) is the japanese word for V.I.P. or V.I.P. Style cars and clubs.Bippu modifications and history has often been linked to the yakuza. It is claimed that bippu came to be due to the risk of gangsters riding around in high-profile European sedans like the Mercedes S-Class or BMW M-Class. The attention could either bring about police action or retaliation from rival gangs. By using Japan domestic market cars with modifications associated with the creation of limousines, gangsters could avoid detection by the police and rival gangs.

Automotive enthusiasts caught onto these modifications, and adapted beyond luxury sedans, utilizing minivans and Kei cars. One advantage presented to enthusiasts is that such modifications can make a car luxurious without being expensive.

They look good to me. Sporty, but OEM. suit the car from the factory. unlike the majority of other choices out there, that just look like ricer afterthoughts.

I realized that to fit the 17's would require stretching some tire over the pizza cutter wheel, but i dont think 205's will be stretching as bad you describe it. i am also willing to roll the fenders to make it clear properly, so ill have to see.

good work on the chop.

ya vip style has been around for a good 3-4 years now? but it wont for for a versa HB...maybe a sedan though. Might be possible. One of my friends from college is a moderator at vipstylecars.com and i actually lended him $3000 so he could get his G35. then not to long ago some drunk driver hit his parked car and totaled it. he had it all fixed up with curtins, airbags, rims, tint, seats...it didnt even look like a g35 anymore.

i had 215/45/17 in the front and 235/40/17 in the back on my V and it never rub. the fenders dont need to be rolled, if u check your fender, unlike other cars the V doesnt have the lip that usually gets rolled.

and it would be nice to have the Spec V wheels on the V. i rather go with those rims than with aftermarket 17's. since u can most likely find them cheaper and they will most likely be lighter than aftermarket. just my opinion =)

Well, to keep the speedometer accurate, 205/40R17 is what you need. Since that size means that the sidewall is 40% of 205mm (82mm) and you run 45% of 215 (96mm), the speedo will be off 5MPH or so LESS than your actual speed.

Not that I'm trashing your ride, I promise this, but what's the point of putting offset wheels on a FWD car? The reason you put wider tires in the rear is to have better traction on a RWD car, the contact patch is wider. On a FWD car, it seems almost pointless.

Well actually the 205/45-17 speedo will be -0.5 MPH and the 215/45-17 will be +0.5MPH not 5.0 MPH. Its not offset wheels its called a staggered setup.

Sorry, I don't know why I was basing my findings on a 205/40. Staggered/offset are the same thing. When I worked for BMW, we called them offset.

after checking your link, your v would have to have 5 lugs for them to work.

1/8" (3mm) spacers in the front cleared the brakes PERFECTLY. They fit good. but the car needs to get lowered desperately, what a 4x4, I am embarrassed driving it around. 215/45/17 tires too

here it is lowered via photoshop magic

here it is slammed the **** out

found them on a local 240sx forum, they are popular wheels for s13 240 guys.

i suggest looking for them on 240 and sentra forums local or national. otherwise the nissan dealer will offer them, and ebay has knock offs in stock as well
