I am having an issue with my 02 Spec V right now. The car keeps going into Limp Mode. It is throwing these 2 codes:

2127 and 2138 Both are related to APP sensor

I have already replaced the Pedal/App Sensor assembly, cleared the codes and within a day the problem has come back. Car is going back into Limp mode very frequently and still throwing the same 2 codes.

Can anyone give me any pointers on what to do next?

Try this, let me know if it works or not and we'll go from here :)

Pedal Relearn Procedure
Accerlerator Pedal Released Postion Learning is and operation to learn the full released postions of the accerlerator pedal by monitoring the accelerator pedal sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of accelearator pedal postion sensor or ECM is disconnected.

1. Make Sure the acceleartor Pedal is fully released
2. Turn Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 Seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 Seconds
4. Turn Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn Ignition switch off and wait at least 10 seconds

Hey blkout,

Here is what I did yesterday afternoon:

Tested battery voltage while car was off. 12.5Volts
Tested battery voltage while car was on. 14.4Volts
Disconnected the TB harness, verify that the pins and harness were clean. Reconnected harness
Did Pedal Relearn Procedure
Did Throttle Valve Relearn Procedure
Did Idle Air Volume Relearn Procedure
Cleared the codes

This morning the car went back into limp mode and threw code:
P2138 - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Problem

What would you suggest I do now?
Thanks for the help

Check the wiring harness from pedal to wherever it goes up behind the dash, make sure nothing is rubbed through and grounding out on some metal.

Well if the wiring/terminals aren't messed up, I'd try bringing back the pedal and exchanging it with another man if they'd let you.

I went ahead and ordered a throttle body today. Will update ya once it comes in. Its only about $100, cheaper than an ECU. So I will eliminate that first.

I replaced the Throttle Body last night. Did the 3 relearns and so far so good. Drove it for about 4 miles last night to test, then drove an hour to work this morning. Going to wait a week or so and see if I have any more issues.
