I figure it would work in the 2.5, but does the 3.5 share the same transmission?

The reason why I ask is I know spec V guys have done VQ35 swaps and it looks like all they did was change the bell housing and use the same transmission. This makes me think that parts would be interchangeable. That's why I asked if you could use the Spec V LSD in the altima coupe.

So if thats the case then no a vlsd wont add more whp

it will help you put down more of your hp your already have you'll gain -better launches -slightly better cornering you wont be gaining more hp. though.correct if im wrong though dont hold me to it

yeah correct me if im wrong but LSD just makes you seem like your going faster But really all it does is make sure both wheel are spining right now if you step on it i believe one wheel takes over with a lsd the transfer to both is equal.

I think a Helical LSD would be great for our cars in regards to putting power to the ground and taking turns. I don't think there are any aftermarket companies that offer LSDs for the Altima. From my understanding, VDC kind of works like an electronic LSD, but I don't see it being that great. Thats why I asked if anyone thinks the Spec V Lsd would work with the Coupe.

i think VDC is supposed to be like traction control in the sense that when you start to spin, it cuts the power.... traction control is horrible, i hate it.... i don't know much about the VDC but i don't think it will be any where near as good as a Helical LSD

The VDC system does act like an eLSD - having a mechanical one would be much better - but you use what you got...

I would be good for the 6 speed, not for the CVT though. Get larger/wider rims and you will get the same effect on a n/a CVT coupe. I never slipped with with car n/a, and I barely slip with the turbo, this is with 8 inch wide 19's though. I think an LSD on the CVT would start breaking components within the CVT. It doesn't like tons of stress.
