Hello all,
I'm having a problem I've never seen before, with my 2008 Sentra. The clock set light, on the center console/radio, will come on while the car is shut off. It wants me to set the time. I try, but the clock set button is non-responsive. Then the clock will set itself and it will turn off, after about 30 seconds it comes back on, and the process starts over again. I thought it had resolved itself, but when I checked on it this morning, the car battery was dead.

Most likely you have a faulty radio, you can buy a used one on ebay for around $50 shipped or put in something aftermarket.

In the meantime, maybe pull the radio fuse to keep it from killing your battery.

Thanks for the response. I did pull the radio fuse, but it still happens.

Check the FSM depending on which radio or audio options you have there should be 2 or possibly even 3 fuses for the radio.

You might try disconnecting and removing the audio unit/radio completely and see if the battery still goes flat.

The removal procedure is in the FSM.

If I pull the radio will I need a special code to install the new one?

If you do need it should be in your owners manual or a nissan dealer should be able to give it to you.
