i jus purchased a 1993 sentra xe automatic. Im putting in the sr20det in summer but for now is there any minor mods that are possible for power gain. i am a man on a super low budget.

For example take out the "air filter" <--- this is an example im not retarded... jus saying simple mods like this.... much help would be nice ..... THANK YOU

You can remove the resonator box in the intake system (black chamber in the front driver's corner under the engine bay, behind the bumper) and do a timing bump, but without spending some of the money you're saving for the swap, you're not going to get much power. Save your chips and live with the slowness, it'll make you appreciate the swap all that much more when you get to it.

yea im switching out the auto....but my friends told me to wait and see if i get the whole setup with the front clip i purchased if not then ill have to hit up a junk yard to get the whole setup

No, just get the engine. Use an SE-R transmission from a 95-98 200SX, 99 Sentra SE-L, 95-02 G20, or 00-01 Sentra SE. The 91-94 SE-R had some 5th gear pop out issues.
