did the title survive with the car?simmode1 wrote:Thats good to hear! You had been having a tough time lately, right? About time for a break!
Now that he has the car, can't he just get another from the DMV if need be? Should still be in his name right? Even if the title was in the stolen car, the theif can't very well change the name on the title and register it if it's been reported stolen, right?Bubba1 wrote:did the title survive with the car?
Yes, the title did survive, it was the only reason I was able to get it from the impound lot since my signature matches my DL and the seller's matches the bill of sale.Bubba1 wrote:did the title survive with the car?simmode1 wrote:Thats good to hear! Yes it would! If your target audience were a fellow male niconaut...Dattebayo wrote:But the Sentra ... would probably get me laid faster than an ugly as$ S12.
I wish. I can't afford two cars, and the sentra will be more affordable for me in the long run. I also will be able to get up the hill on my street in winter with it, so I won't have to miss any work anymore!93coupe wrote:I say keep both. Between the two, you may have a car that is driveable half the time.
I think the current title continues to reflect it's very nature. It's back perhaps to bring more pain, like an ex-gf who sleeps with you again to exact her revenge...charlieo wrote:Will the Sentra title reflect it's recent adventures?
Wayne St. in Silver Spring. The big, BIG garage with long-term parking...krash wrote:oh WTF? THATS AWESOME DUDE! What garage was it found in?
Nope. It was found because the garage reported it, finally. It was thought to have sat there most, if not all of the time it was missing. Apparently no one had been in there to ticket anyone in that long a time. I guess the meter maids were busy...infiniti_lineup wrote:Did they find it using ALPR?

Awesome technology, but super expensive. To put it in perspective the license plate scanners that they use for stop light camera's and a security gates that are mounted in place and don't move are something like $3500 - $7000 per camera and those don't move. This is the same technology that your local Parking authority uses to see if they have to boot or tow a car for unpaid tickets, but even those vehicles that are equipped with them only have one camera and they have to crawl down the street and don't take a picture of the cars in question. I'm sure to have a RPC equipped with the ALPR is an addition $15-20K per car.infiniti_lineup wrote:Did they find it using ALPR?
