Sentra dashboard squeak/rattle

My new Sentra has a squeak/rattle which seems to occur most often when the tempertature is NOT over 90. It's not a loud noise, but it is annoying. It appears to be coming from the RH side of the dashboard, but these things can be deceiving. Does anyone else have this problem? I thought at first it might be the speaker cover on the dash, but I'm now unsure.

When I was at Nissan I had quite a few Versas that came in with a similar problem. Usually it wound up being a loose bolt on the metal framing behind the dash, causing 2 pieces of metal to rub. I'd bring it back in to the dealership and see what they can do for you under warranty.

I've had it back once...and it didn't act up. I guess I need to wait until it's cooler.

Okay. I am extremely frustrated. I took my Sentra to the dealer to resolve this rattle. I did so when it was cooler out. It rattled all the way to the dealership, then, with the tech with me....nothing. He got into the back seat, just in case it was the passenger seat rattling. I heard it very faintly, he not at all.

I just don't know what to do. They aren't going to continue looking for it, I don't think.

Also, does anyone have a crooked bezel around their radio (the one with the little cubby hole)? The door to my cubby hole is REAL crooked, and one edge of the bezel sticks out to the right. They've offered to replace it, but I'm afraid of ending up with another rattle. Anyone have any experience with this?

I'd have them replace it. There's probably a TSB out there for it, and it wouldn't be a difficult area to rattle-proof.
