Sentra Coupe? True?

Hey everyone. I was at the dealership today (needed a part), and got into a conversation with the parts manager. We got to talking about possible future products, like the Altima Coupe convertible for example.Then he mentioned he saw a concept picture of a 2-door Sentra Coupe.He seemed to think it may actually happen. He said the front end was like the current Sentra, and the back end was more like the Altima Coupe. He thought it looked really good.I didn't know whether to believe him or not, but he seemed to be serious.Has anybody heard any rumours about such a car?Thanks.

this has been a rumor since 2003. He is baseing that rumor off of a Renult Coupe and/or nissans 2 door prototype, almost everyone has seen the pictures. i wont believe it being badge as a sentra until i see it with the badges on it. according to that same rumor it will also be turbo.

actually that would be a versa based concept, the actual sentra coupe would be based on the Azeal concept I guess.

I don't see it happening. The Sentra has always been a 4 door. The only reason they made the Altima a coupe is so they could compete with Toyota and Honda. Imo.

It should happen because, first:Honda ,like it or not ,makes a great car in the Civic Si ( I hate them for it), and second :have to beat Toyota to it ,So a Sentra Ser Spec V 2 door wouldn`t be a bad idea ,right? I would be first to get one.

Yet Honda has introduced a 4door Si.... hmm...

Anyway, the '91-'94 SE-R was a 2door only, and lower trim models were offered as 2doors until '95, when that model became the 200SX til '98. Nissan COULD bring it back, but all the concepts that have hinted at it seem to have gone nowhere.

Hey, thanks for all the info.Just checked those links, and I really like what I see.Both concepts look great, especially that Azeal.If it's been around for two years, Nissan should get off their *** and put it into production.I'd get one in a second. Looks a lot better than the current Sentra, that's for sure.

That concept is far too old. It's not going to happen. Even if it did, it'd be a Versa or Micra variant, it's too small to be a Sentra.
