Sentra 98 - engine light turns on - engine misfires with the AC 'on'

Hi,

I have got a nissan sentra 98 for an year and half now with around 95K miles on it. The car has got a manual transmission and it works great. However, the car's engine light turns 'on' every 2K-3K miles especially if its very cold (around 22-28 F) or I use the AC in summers. I can feel the car misfires at higher gears.

To turn off the engine light, I had cleaned the MAF, replaced the air filters and it has worked sometimes. However, I'm not sure, if the problem is in the MAF/air filter or it is the problem with O2 sensors. The error code I get everytime is P0141 for the MAF sensor.

Its just becoming repetitive and I'm off for a weekend trip in another 3 weeks. So, I want to ensure, its not developing into a larger problem.

Any suggestions will be great!

Well if cleaning it didn't work, you should replace the MAF since you're still getting a MAF code.
