I recently bought a 06 sentra 1.8s, and really would like to buy a good audio system for it. I found a place i can get the speakers and subs and all that for cheap, but im really not sure about anything, ie sizes, how many subs, if my stock head unit is good enough ect. Any help would be freatly appreciated. Thanks!

always best to go aftermarket. functional head units are pioneer, kenwood, alpine, and clarion.

speakers...infinity kaapas are always a good choice.

subwoofer...mtx, punck, kicker, jl audio, alpine are a few that come to mind. 1 12 inch, 300-500 watts is enough for the daily enthusiast. i have a 2000 watt and its rated at 139.5db which is crazy for everyday driving, i know, but i love my bass!

as far as amps, i perfer to have one that matches my sub.

as far as power is concerned, never pay attention to max wattage, its an advertising ploy. always read rms, this is the operating range of the speaker.

if you have any other questions let me know.

well i really only have 2 questions to what you stated... my cd player has a single cd at the top,a dna 6 cd changer at the bottom of my dash area... if i got a head unit would i lose control of the 6 cd changer? and number 2 would be what sizes my speakers actually are... would u happen to know the sizes of the fron back and tweeters? thank you for your help!

if you replace your head unit, u will probably loose control of your 6 disc. i know there are a few companies that offer wiring kits that allow the use of factory components with aftermarket radios like scosche. there are a few others but i cant think of them now.

looks like 6.5 or 6.75 will fit the rear deck and 5.25 or 6.5 will fit the front doors. not sure the size of the tweeter, but usually they are 1 inch. i got this info off of crutchfield if you want to check it out for yourself. also if u buy ur radio from them they will give you the wiring kit, stereo harness and installation instructions.
