So basically you riced it. Pardon the expression but except for the springs and shocks I don't see any performance mods (even then it's questionable if you get significantly better handling with most drops).

I know some people mod for the "looks" but for me it's just a bit underwhelming if the car looks nice but comes off the line like a Soviet Lada.

what can I say???!!! I guess everyone has a different opnion. this is the first bad remark I have heard about these mods that Im doin here.about 98% of everyone else doesn't think so. a qg motor wasn't meant for performance I mean yea you could slap an Intake or put some boost to gain something but is it really worth it on this car???

to think about Gotak do you even know what riced out even means??!! it means putting on say a nismo sticker when there isn't no real nismo parts present ook I have the nismo lip but im not goin to slap on a nismo sticker 1.its not a authentic nismo part its just an ebay item.also putting 2 dozen stickers on would be rice even altezza taillights and some wack azz body kits all of these apply to being riced out if you think the lip,SE-R heads and a billet grille apply's to being riced out then thats your opinion about everyone else may disagree with you I got all of these ideas from fellow sentra members so I know im in good hands

Throwing mods on a engine not made for them is riceing, like if he had a auto or was putting crome altezza lights and huge multi color body kits on it. Swaping out parts from a different model of the same car is not riceing as long as you dont swap the badges (ex v-tec on a ex or spec-v on a 1.8).

How did you get the headlights to work? i was told they dont fit up right. (I did notice a slight gap along the edges in your pics, i guess some rubber stripping will fix that easily)

Very fine line you are talking about there by your definition.

I am wondering how much he spent on these "mods" which could have gone towards things that makes it actually drive better.

It's ok though since people's perception of what's desirable as it is shown here drives a large part of the economy.

exactly!!! thanx for explaning that to gotak. not disrespect to him I dunno where he got the idea of thinking my mods were riced out. I have posted these pics on multiple forums and I got a lot of respect. he coulda at least asked why didn't I buy a SE-R/spec V something like that. I will not swap badges. debadging them yes I will do and about the gap I know people have pointed that out to me and i'll see what I can do about its a ebay item you get what you pay for no doubt about that

Tristate, your sig is too big. The pic fits, but the text makes it too tall (total max is 600 wide by 200 tall). Put the mod list in one line and drop the smiley and it should be good to go. Not hating, just trying to keep everything uniform. I don't know why I didn't notice it til now.

As for this thread, seriously guys, it's a personal preference issue. Try searching the definition of rice here and you'll see that these discussions always go poorly. There are people out there who go so far as to say that modding any FWD or 4cyl car is rice, and others who only draw the line when people slap GT-R badges on a Civic DX with cut springs, a fartcan, flamboyant neon, and a wing the size of Texas, and everywhere in-between.

you couldn't had said it any better bro.like I said everyone has a diffrent view on a car. I reallize right from wrong I had a nismo sticker on the car when no real parts were present. i dont even consider an oil cap a real nismo part i had to be schooled on whats rice and not rice. we all know slapping a gt-r emblem on anything that isn't a skyline is considered rice. no doubt about that. I have seena lot of riced out whips here in jersey believe me on that.and also I will change my sig. sorry bout that. I didn't even realize the size was too big, unless someone here can make one. i'll just go back to my old sig its kinda plain and stock lol

I dont mean any disrespect to anyone, I guess im just getting tired of hearing everyone cry rice whenever someone posts their mods. I would only be doing some small things to the apperance of my car 2 do to the fact its an auto. Until I finish getting all the parts for a manual transmission and SR swap. (cheaper than buying a new car)

Same in VA I acually saw a guy the other day driveing a geo with some 18s, fake crome trim, a punched muffler. (sounds worse than a honda) and those fake vents

I agree with you its just pointless really. basically there's a line between constructive criticism and not liking a mod on a car. I like what I have and I do wanna do more before the summer rolls around .My sentra is auto as well but Im just using it for show not to rip and roar down the track, maybe in the future I can do a SR20 swap but for now it is what it is and thats that like it or not. a couple of months ago i got flammed for putting a stock sentra in the shows and after getting a talking to I understand how dumb it was but now Im building up the car to my liking

and also about the riced out cars that ish is funny the normal riced out whip in Jersey is honda's with freakin big azz wings and altezza taillights you commonly see them in urban areas in jersey like perth amboy, newark, jersey city and so on................. its too funny

You need some new wheels to go with all that. The hubcaps aren't cutting it anymore. I'd spring for something nicer (and lighter/wider) than the Spec V wheels you mentioned.

Replace that Ebay filter with a good one ASAP. The extra gunk getting in your engine isn't an issue now, but when sludge starts to build up you'll wish you'd used a good filter.

For a start, I think it's time to ditch the hubcaps. Still looks a stock Sentra with a nice car wash to me. Having said that, are you planning to make it go faster at some point? That's where I'd be spending my money if I were you. Just my $.02.

yea ok I know it still has a stock look but the steelies and hubcaps will be on for a while it is what it is. Im looking to have rims and some nice new tires by the summer. and honestly a qg18 what the hell could I do to make it faster waste 5g on a turbo kit?? might as well yank the motor out and drop a sr20 or go extreme and put a vq on there. Im building this car for looks Im not a racer no more I just like to show now sorry if it sounds dumb but thats how I feel about it
