Hey guys,

I was looking over the block and transmission I got from a guy more closely today and realized other than the speed sensor, I am missing something else. I am unsure of what it is or can be.

Here is a pic of the area.

This trans is off a 95 s14.

The bottom is where the speed sensor goes, and there is a threaded opening above it. (dont mind the white paint, the guy who sold it to me I guess splattered some paint on it? geez...)

So what goes in there?

Thanks a lot,

Eric

Looks to be the spot for the neutral position switch according to the Factory Service Manual. That is for an S13, but I would imagine that it is the same for S14.

Yeah, a guy at the kadet forum pointed it out for me 2 days ago...

I guess I can just block it off and jump the connector or make my own switch running to the clutch pedal or something.

Im guessing its mainly for start up?

Yeah it's probably for start up, I would jump it at the connector and see if that works. Or if you're ever at a junkyard and see one grab it, then if you ever sell the car the next person doesn't have to say WTF when he sees the jumped wire, lol.
