What is this sensor for and how much does it cost? I was taking my buddies transmission out for a new clutch and it broke and I dont know what it is for or how much it cost. help me out. thanks

wow i was tired, i thougt that tread transmission bellhousing before and i was like wtf?! cuz the sensor at the top of the ka24de transmission IS the reverse lamp switch. bleh, what you said on s14s

Speaking of the crank angle sensors and the like.

Can you bolt an ODBI ka24de trany to an OBDII car? Kind of wondering what effect the different placement / lack of sensors does.

its not a crank angel sensor, its called a crankshaft position sensor. like 20 bucks at a parts shop.

incorrect...it will throw a code, but the car will start and run fine. my 95 has been running for almost six months without the crank posistion sensor...
