I love the logic of this country's politicians. Legislate that people not from this country, who have already displayed their lack of willingness to do the right thing and to follow our country's sovereign laws, buy health insurance coverage. Why not throw in a law that requires foreign terrorists in this country to turn in their arms to the police?HashiriyaS14 wrote:Fortunately for the President, Mr. Wilson is mistaken. The bill may require illegal immigrants to BUY coverage (which I absolutely support), but they will receive no subsidies.
I don't understand this logic either. Shall we be requiring prisoners to purchase insurance for when they shove things up their anus to go to the hospital just to get out of the slammer for awhile?HashiriyaS14 wrote:Fortunately for the President, Mr. Wilson is mistaken. How the hell do they propose to enforce this? If an illegal immigrant is injured and goes to the emergency room for care, the hospital can not deny him treatment if he has a TRUE medical emergency. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have a bit of documentation to prove who he is, where he lives, or where he works. When he is well enough to leave, the hospital will discharge him, he will walk out that door and vanish forever. How do you make someone buy medical insurance if they don't exist? These people don't want to be found. If they did, they'd apply for citizenship. And why should they? They get all the benefits of being a U.S. citizen without having to pay any taxes.HashiriyaS14 wrote: The bill may require illegal immigrants to BUY coverage
He holds his spliffs in his right hand, you just can't see it here, but look how Osama is scoping it.themadscientist wrote:If he lit a fatty in the oval while burning the flag I doubt I could think less of him.
Yes we do. But you've been spelling it wrong the whole time. We are...the Illuminaughty.Kalypso wrote:it doesnt matter whose in office, clandestine forces run the government.
This is a fair point.Cold_Zero wrote:

^^I have no quibble with this. I can see why TARP and the bailout were a little rushed, but there's no need for this bill to get thrown together.audtatious wrote:The main fear is that the bill will be thrown together and submitted a couple of days before a vote, with amendments to it added the night before. Me thinks you are right. Seems history has proven that. I suspect it is old, old money people who control this country as they did from day one.Kalypso wrote:it doesnt matter whose in office, clandestine forces run the government.
That is absolutely one of the most untrue and uninformed statements I've ever seen in print.pallnet wrote:... Fox is the only place where you can get the news as it is...pallnet
Yep.....Let it stand on its own merits. The only reason to shove it through last minute is so others don't have a chance to really read it and those pushing it feel they have enough votes to do so. Total bullcrap when it's done by _anybody_....Worse when it goes against promises of transparency.HashiriyaS14 wrote:

They all protect their own to a point. They all need to be fired....srellim234 wrote:So Wilson was officially rebuked by the House.

Couldn't they have made better use of their time by publicizing the names of the representatives and senators, both Republican and Democrat, who have been bought off by the healthcare and insurance companies?
Fox has friends? I was not aware of this.heliochrome85 wrote:"Fox and Friends"
